I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH THIS WEBSITE!!
I bought humans.com in early 2001. I just saw it on an auction site, and I was like, "Holy shit that's a damn good deal for a one word domain name like this." So I impulsively bid on it and ended up with it and I'm glad.. but I don't know what to do with it. I can't think of a way to make money from it easily either! This domain has potential- lots of it, and that can be easily seen from the 40+ daily type-ins; nobody is coming here through search engines.
Originally I wanted to make this seemingly VERY brandable domain into a Slashdot type thing about cloning and human science. But apparently some other website, betterhumans.com, has already done this.. Bastards stole my ideas! Everybody voted on those polls I had- about 10 people daily and those were certainly some unexpected results. But there's not really anything new here often to entice visitors to check back daily. I had a couple advertisements at one point on here, but nobody clicked on any of them so I took them off. The whole message board thing was retarded: About an hour after I first put it up some guy posted a long, rather interesting, philosophical article. I was like, "Cool, intelligent people come to this page." Then PoTtHeAd DudE filled up the board telling everyone how he was going to take over the world. I tried to delete his posts but I messed everything up. RAHH! How it helps to write scripts yourself.
I'm out of ideas. The crazy abundance of e-mail I get regularly certainly doesn't help either- And NO, FOR THE LAST TIME, I DO NOT IMPORT INDONESIAN AND ETHIOPIAN CHILDREN FOR SALE. About twenty other people think that I will sell this domain to them for close to nothing. Yea right- my asking price is 5 figures. Some other guy wanted to lease the domain for three years with the first year free.. fuck that! And then he called my site hokey: well, THANK YOU FOR CLEARING THAT UP ASSHOLE, because if you tell me that, then there's a MUCH BETTER CHANCE I'm going to consider cracking a deal with you. And I don't like WYSIWYG editors. They can go to Hell. Notepad and its variants rule.
I think the funniest thing yet has been when some dope who thinks he is a hacker or something spent five hours trying to crack into my cgi-bin. He tried typing in all the words he could think of like this:

http://humans.com/cgi-bin/monday.. and all the other week days and months- I don't have any idea why.
THE CGI-BIN IS CHMOD'D TO 755- This means YOU CAN'T GET IN: It's a little thing called security dumbass. But I don't even know what you would find of interest there either. Everything is logged and all requests came from IP 65.94.224.146. So if anyone wants to find him, drop him a line and tell him he's a dumbass.
So here's the idea. This website is boring right now. If I didn't own this site, I wouldn't even bother coming here. So I am going to put whatever I want to on this website because I can, because I own this site, and because apparently people randomly type in "humans.com" all the time. So humans.com is now going to be completely random and I'm going to do whatever I want on here- nothing bad of course, but whatever amuses me: because I'm cool like that, and I have a valuable domain name. Now I think I'm going to go shoot some pool. Whatever. A screenshot of the old site: old and boring.
